SO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? IT IS TIME TO START
IMPROVING YOUR HEALTH -- STEADILY, LITTLE BY LITTLE - BY CREATING THAT
YEAR-'ROUND EXERCISE HABIT WHICH MEETS THE GOALS YOU HAVE SET FOR
YOURSELF.
YOUR GOAL: TO EXERCISE AT LEAST YOUR CHOSEN
NUMBER OF, SAY, MINUTES A DAY, FOR AT LEAST YOUR CHOSEN NUMBER OF DAYS A
MONTH.
YOU NEED TO THINK ABOUT YOUR GOAL EARLY EACH
DAY AND DECIDE HOW YOU ARE GOING TO MEET IT THAT DAY. SO KEEP YOUR DAILY
EXERCISE LOG SHEET WHERE YOU WILL SEE IT FIRST THING EACH MORNING (YOUR
BATHROOM MIRROR, YOUR SOCKS DRAWER, ETC).
ON ANY GIVEN DAY, YOU EITHER MEET YOUR DAILY
GOAL, OR YOU DON'T. YOU EITHER TURN A DAY INTO A "YES" DAY, OR IT REMAINS
A "NO" DAY. ON MOST DAYS, "YES" OR "NO" DEPENDS ON YOU.
EVERY DAY STARTS AS A "NO" DAY. ANY DAY CAN
BE TURNED INTO A "YES" DAY. WHEN YOU HAVE EXERCISED AT LEAST YOUR NUMBER
OF DAILY GOAL MINUTES (OR STEPS, LAPS, MILES) ON A GIVEN DAY, YOU HAVE
TURNED YOUR "NO" DAY INTO A "YES" DAY. A "YES" DAY CANNOT BECOME A "NO"
DAY. YOU EARNED IT, YOU CAN'T LOSE IT.
ANYTIME YOU HAVE TURNED A "NO" DAY INTO A "YES"
DAY, YOU CAN MARK YOUR DAILY EXERCISE LOG SHEET "YES" FOR THAT DATE. OR,
AS SOON AS YOU KNOW YOU WILL NOT ACHIEVE YOUR DAILY GOAL FOR A GIVEN DAY,
YOU CAN MARK "NO" ON YOUR LOG SHEET FOR THAT DATE.
AT THE END OF THE MONTH, COUNT UP YOUR NUMBER OF
"YES'S" AND SEE IF YOU MET YOUR GOAL FOR THE MONTH.
MAKE OR OBTAIN A NEW LOG SHEET, RESET YOUR GOAL
IF DESIRED, AND START WORKING ON YOUR NEXT MONTH OF "YES'S". AS YOU MEET
YOUR GOAL MONTH AFTER MONTH, YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY TO BETTER HEALTH!
