Walk with a Buddy Regularly.

In Williamstown, 2008 has been designated as the "Year of the Walking Buddy". Among the many ways to develop a habit of regular year-'round exercise, one of the easiest is to partner with someone else and just begin walking. A general rule is that you want to exercise at least 30 minutes a day, most days of the week (four or five days a week).

2008 Second Annual “Spring Fever START Walk”

On Saturday, November 29, Davincis will again sponsor the "Holiday Season Walk it Off".

It starts at 7 AM with a delicious pancake breakfast at da Vinci's followed by a walk through Williamstown. Whether the breakfast you eat is fattening depends on how many calories you expend after you eat. Make this walk a Thanksgiving tradition for your friends and family. See our flyer for more details.

Because the holiday season poses such a weight control challenge for some of us, we have a special holiday season exercise log sheet for you to download and try out starting the day of the Davinci's walk. We've had it all wrong for years. New year's day is not the best day to start a new program of fitness. The Saturday after Thanksgiving is! There are two sides to the calorie equation: calories in and calories out. If you know you will have trouble (during the holidays) controlling the calories eaten, then be very sure you control the calories you expend.

December 20th will be the annual Ryan Jobes 5k.

This race is in memory of Ryan Jobes, standout athlete and citizen at WHS. 100% of all donations will go directly to the "Ryan Jobes Scholarship Fund". Race, Run or Walk. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. Registration information can be found in our attached form.
